Ben Cat town is home to 10 industrial compounds and parks with more than 4,030 hectares in total. The town has to date lured 2,462 investment projects, including 2,001 domestic investment projects totaling more than VND24.64trillion and 461 FDI ones capitalized at more than US$5.56billion.
Over the past years, Ben Cat town focused on building industrial parks (Ips) to create the foundation for the local industrial development. The district-based Ips now has a modern and synchronous infrastructure system connecting with key streets going through the province, namely Highway 13, DT744 street, My Phuoc-Tan Van expressway, trans-Asia highway…These streets with regional connectivity has helped investors save time and costs for transportation of goods.

The town also attached special importance to reforming administrative procedures; well coordinated with Becamex IDC to create “clean” land fund for enterprises to soon realize their investment projects; mobilized all economic sectors together with the State to build spacious and modern urban areas…
To absorb more investment projects, the town together with investors, including Becamex IDC, 3-2 Construction Investment Joint Stock Company, Dau Tieng Rubber One-Member Co.Ltd…., well realized investment promotion over the past time. The town also excelled at carrying out preferential policies for enterprises; created favorable conditions for investors to implement projects in the priority list for investment while minimizing projects that use numerous laborers, have the risk of environmental pollution and those outside Ips.
Huynh Thu Lap, Vice-Chairman of Ben Cat town’s People’s Committee said that the town has bent on reaching in-depth industrial development; selectively absorbed investment projects and refused those with numerous laborers and risk of environmental pollution; promoted auxiliary and hi-tech industries…
The effective investment attraction of the district-based Ips over the past time greatly contributed to the local industrial development. Noticeably, the town is now home to modern and large urban areas planned in a synchronous way in association with Ips, creating a motivation for the local development in the trade-services, social and cultural fields.
