Early June 16, Ben Cat town initiated the non-cash payments across streets and traditional markets. At the launching ceremony, the town set up display stalls of products, digital services, and non-cash payment methods.
The attending delegates of public experienced the non-cash payments at Ben Cat town market and streets of Hung Vuong and Ngo Quyen. After the ceremony, banking officers and payment center coordinated with local youths to dissemination about and offer experience of non-cash payments to the locals.
In the meantime, the town organized banner and poster vehicles marching on street to disseminate information on streets and major residential areas in My Phuoc ward. Ben Cat town Division of Culture and Information is known to have coordinated with the town Finance Division, My Phuoc ward People’s Committee, Ben Cat Market Management Board, Agribank branches, Vietcombank branches, BIDV branches, and Ben Cat VNPT to implement non-cash payments on streets and markets of Ben Cat from May 2023.
As a result, over household businesses opened bank accounts and engaged in non-cash payment methods.
