In 2018, Ben Cat town concentrated on public investment. Accordingly, the town strengthened investment into infrastructure facilities, especially major works. The town also mobilized all resources to hasten the progress of construction of infrastructure works with priority for traffic, education and cultural ones to serve people’s needs.

The province assigned VND233.202billion in public investment capital to the town in 2018. With many efforts, the town’s total volume of public works implemented was VND253.102billion or 100% of the year’s plan.
To achieve the above result, investors of the town’s public works were proactive to opportunely implement their tasks. The town also took synchronous measures with focus on site clearance so that the construction of public works was implemented on schedule.
In addition, the town well handled the situation of debt in basic construction by public investment capital. Particularly, the town used all resources from provincial and local State budget to carry out payment for works with balances fulfilled and approved. Upon this, the town’s works implemented in 2018 were apportioned capital as stipulated.
Inspection, supervision strengthened
According to a report by the town’s People’s Committee, in 2018, the town well realized targets on public investment, but faced shortcomings on site clearance for change. With synchronous and drastic solutions, the town’s basic construction had a lot of positive changes, thereby contributing to improving the efficiency of State management for basic construction.
Huynh Thu Lap, Vice-Chairman of the town’s People’s Committee said that the town will focus on projects as a driving force for urban development at people’s needs and aspirations in line with the local socio-economic development plan to 2025. In 2019, the town will strive not to have prolonged debt in basic construction. For new projects, they need to ensure procedures for implementation as stipulated.
In the coming time, the town will bend on directing the implementation of basic construction for better results. The town will also strengthen inspection, supervision over the quality of works; continued improving the quality of officials in the field of public investment and be proactive to sort out qualified units, helping investors fulfill their works on schedule.
