Streets with colorful flowers
On Lac An Road 71 of Lac An commune, the purple color of the mausoleum mixed with the brilliant walls makes people ecstatic with emotions every time they pass by. This is the longest road in the commune, cultivated and cared for by the Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee of the commune in collaboration with the Women's Union and the people in the commune. In addition to this road, other roads in hamlet 1 and hamlet 2 are many households who offer to support and take care of lush trees. In particular, some roades in the religious hamlet become more beautiful and sparkling on holidays and Tet.
The impression on coming to Tan Dinh commune is the newly concreted, clean and spacious rural roads that are adorned with green fences and beautiful flower lines. On the two sides are rows of yellow bell flowers, periwinkles, apricots, etc. showing off their brilliant colors. Vu Thi Hanh – Deputy Chairwoman of Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee in Tan Dinh commune, said that the Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee of the commune being aware of the meaning of building a residential area with a clean, green, and beautiful environmental landscape has joined departments and unions to mobilize cadres, members and people to contribute to the implementation. At first, the model was implemented in Hamlet 1 and Hamlets of Ba Da and Thieng Lieng. Up to now, 6 out of 8 hamlets have implemented, and 2 hamlets with special characteristics in remote areas have implemented the model of lighting up rural roads. In order to keep the roads clean, green, and beautiful, each association manages a route and people also plant more flowers in front of their houses and regularly water the plants and weed them.
The roads in Tan Binh town are now also radiant with flowers, creating a feeling of greenery and beauty. Phan Van Sang, Head of the Executive Board of Quarter 2 of Tan Binh Town, said that after being supported with tree varieties, people actively planted and took good care of them. Therefore, many roads of trees, flowers and environmental landscapes are always clean, green, and beautiful; the scene of grass and garbage was no longer as before. In addition to actively taking care of the flower street, people also consciously raise their awareness of environmental hygiene and spend their own money to build and install lighting systems, mainly solar lights. Accordingly, most of the concrete roads have been equipped with lighting systems.
Contributing to improving quality of life
Talking to us, Vo Thi Tuyet Nhung, Deputy Chairwoman of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Tan Uyen district, said that besides actively propagating, mobilizing and actively coordinating with sectors, communes and towns, The district also organizes contests on models to receive the consensus and enthusiastic response of the people to join with the authority; the Fatherland Front and mass organizations have effectively implemented the set criteria. Since then, the model has changed the rural face of the district, contributing to the well implementation of the criteria for building a new countryside enhanced according to the plan of the District People's Committee.
Currently, this model has been deployed in all 10 communes and towns. Specifically, in 61 out of 221 residential areas (self-governing people's groups) with 5,293 households registered for implementation. People from all walks of life have actively participated in the implementation of the model, regularly cleaning the environment, planting trees, planting flowers in roads, public places, in house premises; roads are concreted, installed 254 lights and equipped with 696 trash cans. In addition, the district has also mobilized all classes of people to properly dispose of domestic waste and together with the government actively participate in implementing the model, regularly cleaning around houses, planting trees, planting flowers in public places, in house premises, rural roads with a total cost of more than VND 850 million (people contributed more than VND 500 million).
According to Nhung, in the coming time, the district will continue to propagandize people to implement the 6 criteria of the model, propagandize and help households understand the benefits of implementing the model; coordinate and support localities in taking care of and preserving works, mobilizing people not to litter indiscriminately, contributing to improving the quality of the campaign of all people unifying to build a new rural and cultural urban area associated with the movement of all people unifying to build cultural life. At the same time, the district maintains, replicates and effectively implements the models deployed in the previous stage.
