Activities of exchange and investment opportunity between members of Binh Duong Furniture Association (BIFA) and South Africa entrepreneurs and managers took place at Truong Thanh Furniture (TTF). Mr.Cebekhulu, director of the Umshawathi City Council, repsenting the South Africa Government expressed his wish to cooperate with Vietnamese furniture enterprises.
With the available potentials and advantages, the two sides signed a MoU with terms: TTF representing BIFA will train 20 out of 100 South African officials in 6 months. Convertibly, in the first 3 years, the South Africa Govn’t assures to buy the BIFA’s products worth US$300,000 per month. The Umshawathi City Council will offer favorable conditions for BIFA to possess a 2,000sqm furniture exhibition plant at the country.
The city will also offer 1,000ha of land for TTF to conduct a forestation project. This is a result of trade promotion program conducted by the provincial People’s Committee.
