That was the affirmation of Mai Hung Dung, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, at the opening ceremony of the Vietnam Industrial and Manufacturing Fair 2022 (VIMF) that took place on June 8th at Binh Duong World Trade Center EXPO. Chairman of Becamex IDC Corporation, leaders of provincial departments, and more than 300 domestic and foreign enterprises, attended the ceremony.
The attraction of Binh Duong
Vietnam's industrial and manufacturing exhibition has become a prestigious brand and an effective connector between domestic and international manufacturers, suppliers and businessmen. This is the second time this prestigious exhibition held in Binh Duong.

Mai Hung Dung, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, said that in recent years, growth rate of Binh Duong's GDP had been high and stable. The economic structure shifted to the right direction, industry still accounted for a high proportion. The province's industrial production index increased by an average of 9.3% per year. Accumulated by May 2022, Binh Duong attracted 4,047 FDI projects, with a total investment capital of more than US$39.5 billion, making it one of the three provinces and cities that attracted the largest FDI capital in the country.
Therefore, in order to create breakthroughs and innovations in investment attraction for the province, as well as focusing on industrial development by prioritizing manufacturing projects with high technology and added values, Binh Duong encourages investment in the development of auxiliary industries in sectors of manufacture, machinery assembling, electronic equipment... Binh Duong is an attractive destination for machinery technology and automation enterprises, creates connectivity and facilitates cooperation and development.
Cao Tan Luc, Director of OMG Event Company, Head of the exhibition organizing committee, said that in 2022, the Vietnam Industrial and Manufacturing Fair (VIMF 2022) in conjunction with the Vietnam Industrial Automation Fair 2022 (VIAF 2022) have nearly 300 booths from 15 countries and territories. "Binh Duong was selected as the host, because we have many high-tech and automation-oriented manufacturing enterprises operated in the province. In the direction of sustainable development, the province focuses on innovation in production, which will create many opportunities for enterprises to cooperate with each other and develop. That's why there are so many people will take part in this exhibition. Especially, the introduction of WTC EXPO with adequate utilities will help businesses be satisfied with this exhibition environment", Cao Tan Luc affirmed.

From the perspective of technological innovation for development, Nguyen Viet Long, Director of Binh Duong Provincial Department of Science and Technology, said: "The exhibition is an opportunity for domestic and foreign enterprises, manufacturers and investors to reach customers, expand relationships, easily find business partners, suitable suppliers, at the same time brings advanced products, technologies and techniques to the industrial production in Binh Duong. This contributes to the development and improvement of competitiveness, meeting the demand for increasing high-tech production, dynamic trade today." Long also expressed his belief that domestic and foreign associations, enterprises and units participating in this exhibition will be able to share advances in technology development, industry and automation to find new technological solutions to innovate production, improve the quality and competitiveness of Vietnamese products and services in general and Binh Duong in particular in the world market.

At the exhibition, the 4.0 technology area was the most prominent. This area brought together large companies and corporations introducing advanced technologies, technical services and solutions applied in manufacturing industry to increase labor productivity, save time and operate smart factories. In particular, in the purchasing area, groups of buyers were formed, including factories, manufacturers, contractors, project managers, solution groups, in order for them to have the opportunity to directly meet, catch up with trends, enhance competitiveness, promote trade and business, and contract signing at the exhibition.
