Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc discuss planning for regional connectivity

On the afternoon of March 1, Vo Van Minh, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee received and worked with Tran Tue Hien, Chairman of Binh Phuoc provincial People's Committee about planning for regional connectivity at provincial Integrated Administration Center. The event was also attended by leaders of departments and sectors of Binh Duong and Binh Phuoc provinces.

At the working session, representative of Binh Duong provincial Department of Transport reported an investment plan for the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway project and the main traffic connection points between the two provinces. The route plan of the project starts at Go Dua intersection, goes along provincial Road 43 in Thu Duc city about 800m, then turns right along DT743B, DT743A, DT747B to Khanh Van bridge. The route turns left and separates from the present road and follow Cai stream that is parallel to DH409 road. The route cuts DT747A at Green Gate, then goes parallel to DT741 to Phu Giao district’s An Long commune, and goes straight to the east of Becamex Binh Phuoc Industrial Park, intersecting National Highway 14 in Chon Thanh town. Binh Duong province proposed Binh Phuoc province to agree on the investment plan. Particularly, in the phase 1, the section from Khanh Van bridge to Binh Phuoc province is 45.6km long, with total investment of around VND 17.3trillion. Its construction is expected to be completed in 2026. The phase 2 is to upgrade from 4 lanes to 6 lanes, implement a number of technical solutions such as building overpasses, underpasses, and branch roads.

Binh Phuoc provincial People's Committee Chairman also received the proposal of Binh Duong province to choose the option 1. Accordingly, Binh Phuoc provincial People's Committee will report it to provincial Party Standing Committee and People's Council to consider and allocate capital for the highway section through Binh Phuoc province. The section is 7km long, invested by Binh Phuoc province in the form of public investment, with total capital of around VND 1.5trillion for clearance, compensation and construction. The Chairpersons of the People's Committees of the two provinces assigned the Departments of Transport and localities to survey, calculate the alignment and the specific connection plan for provincial roads and the bordering district roads of the two provinces, and then submit them to the People's Committees of the two provinces for consideration and settlement in the coming time.
