Vietnam's diplomatic representative missions abroad for the 2023-2026 term, led by Pham Quang Hieu, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, has just had a working session with Binh Duong and a talk show with Vietnam's representative missions abroad, southern provinces and cities. This continues being an opportunity for the province to promote its brand name, improving the quality of external affairs and bringing the "Binh Duong" brand name to the international level.
Foreign affairs promoted
15 Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to countries around the world for the term 2023-2026 have just come to Binh Duong to learn and discuss solutions to improve the quality of foreign affairs, trade and investment promotion, and popularize products to countries around the world. This was a special event to further support enterprises in Binh Duong in particular and the Southeastern region in general to reach the international level.
Leaders of Vietnamese representative agencies abroad organize a talk show with southern localities
Ngo Huong Nam, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam in the Netherlands shared that the common task of Vietnamese ambassadors and representative agencies abroad is to support foreign affairs; search and mobilize resources; consult for the development of localities and the whole country. “We are always ready to support provinces and cities to seek investment opportunities in European countries while calling on foreign enterprises to invest in the fields that are being favored", said Mr. Nam and said that the meeting in Binh Duong was an important opportunity to grasp information, make general orientations for foreign affairs in European countries in the coming time.
Nguyen Van Danh, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee shared that during the development process, Binh Duong has always determined that foreign affairs play a very important role. In fact, the province’s achievements in socio-economic development, defense and security over the past time greatly contributed to foreign affairs. Therefore, the event was an important opportunity for Binh Duong province as well as other provinces and cities in the Southern region to meet and exchange information about the socio-economic development situation, the results in foreign affairs while proposing contents to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Vietnamese representative agencies abroad in order to continue effectively implementing foreign activities and international cooperation in the coming time.
According to the general assessment of the ambassadors, over the past time, Binh Duong implemented foreign affairs effectively. Noticeably, the province set up many delegations to carry out investment promotion work in countries and territories to promote investment attraction policies in order to reach the international level, aiming to call on all international investment resources for Binh Duong.
Many recommendations acknowledged
During the meeting, the ambassadors and the provinces, cities and enterprises focused on discussing solutions to enhance diplomacy and investment promotion. Enterprises in Binh Duong and other localities made many recommendations to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, hoping that the ambassadors will actively support enterprises to promote investment and develop products to countries around the world while regularly keeping in contact to announce information related to diplomatic work, organization of diplomatic activities, investment promotion ...
Nguyen Tien Thanh, Vice-Chairman of Binh Duong Ceramics Association suggested the ambassadors to further support enterprises to promote investment in ceramic, lacquer, rattan and bamboo products to countries around the world, especially through exhibitions in host countries. "The export of Binh Duong’s pottery items now shows signs of a sharp decline, so we need help from the ambassadors", Mr. Thanh suggested.
Huynh Tran Phi Long, Chairman of Binh Duong Young Entrepreneurs Association wanted that Vietnamese ambassadors will further organize many seminars and talk shows at home and abroad to connect information, helping enterprises find markets, promote products to countries around the world. Also through the efforts, enterprises can connect large-scale foreign investors to connect to Vietnam.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Quang Hieu acknowledged the opinions of provinces, cities and enterprises at the meeting. He committed that Vietnamese ambassadors and heads of representative missions abroad are always aware of their roles and positions in their responsibility to contribute to the development of Vietnam; always try hard in their positions to contribute to the development of the southern region by concrete and practical works while wanting to receive the cooperation and support of the provinces and cities in the process of working abroad.
