Early August 14, provincial People’s Committee Vice-Chairman Tran Thanh Liem had a working session with Nishino Tetsuya, Deputy General Director of the Japanese-invested Maruichi Sun Steel Joint Stock Company (JSC) about the implementation of its new factory in Binh Duong.
The company has operated in the field of steel manufacture in Di An town’s Tan Dong Hiep ward since 2006 with its 30-hectare factory that has the annual capacity of 2.25 mln tons of products. In 2012, the company decided to spend additional US$120mln on building a new factory with two color and zinc planting production lines to meet product consumption demand at home and abroad.
At the working session, Mr.Nishino Tetsuya thanked provincial leaders for their efforts in creating favorable conditions for the company’s business and production activities. The company’s new factory is expected for completion in December 2013.
On behalf of provincial leaders, Mr.Liem also applauded the company’s investment of a new factory in Binh Duong and spoke highly of the efforts by the company in hastening the progress of construction of the factory on schedule. He added that Binh Duong would create favorable conditions for the company to operate stable and effectively.
