Binh Duong Customs Department strives for additional budget revenue of VND900 billion in 2018

 

Based on total state budget revenue in the first eight months 2018, factors affecting state budget revenue in last months of the year as well as revenue growth rate in the last months of recent years, General Department of Customs assigned an additional budget revenue target of VND13.800 billion in 2018 to Binh Duong Customs Department. Compared with the budget revenue target assigned at the beginning of the year, Binh Duong Customs Department have to collect an additional amount of VND900 billion (Ministry of Finance's target was VND12,900 billion), an increase of VND 800 billion compared to the target of Provincial People's Council.

Binh Duong Customs Department is one of the 20 customs departments of national provinces and cities, which were assigned by General Department of Customs to increase budget revenue target. According to the assigned additional revenue, Binh Duong Customs Department is in the top 6 of customs departments having the largest increase. At the top is by Ha Tinh Provincial Customs Department with an increase of VND2,800 billion (from VND3,100 billion to VND5,900 billion), is followed by Ba Ria - Vung Tau Customs Department with and increase VND2,600 billion (from VND14,900 billion to VND17,500 billion), Quang Ngai Customs Department with VND2,330 billion increase (from VND670 billion to VND3,000 billion), Dong Nai Customs Department with increase of VND2,300 billion (from VND16,500 billion to VND18,800 billion).

In order to fulfill the target, on 6 Sep 2018, Binh Duong Customs Department issued Decision 981/QD-HQBD to supplement budget collection target to subordinate departments. At the same time, the Department also drastically instructed subordinate departments to closely follow Directive No. 555/CT-TCHQ dated 26 Jan 2018 of General Department of Customs on the implementation of state budget collection tasks in 2018 and the implementation plan of collection solutions set forth at the beginning of the year.

As of 31 Aug 2018, Binh Duong Customs Department collected budget revenue of nearly VND 9,500 billion, accounting for 73.33% target assigned by Ministry of Finance (VND 12,900 billion), reaching 72.77% target of Provincial People's Council (VND 13,000 billion), accounting for 70.07% additional target of General Department of Customs (VND 13,500 billion), an increase of 12.77% over the same period last year. Compared with the newly assigned target of VND13,800, Binh Duong Customs Department's revenue by 31 Aug 2018 achieved 68.55% target.
