Binh Duong Customs Department to assist enterprises in epidemic prevention

Facing the complicated situation of the Covid-19, Binh Duong Customs Department has actively implemented measures to prevent and control the epidemic in the new situation. Binh Duong Customs Department commits to assisting enterprises in solving difficulties, creating the most favorable conditions for import-export.

 To proactively prevent and combat the epidemic

Following the direction of the General Department of Customs and Provincial People's Committee on the Covid-19prevention and control, Binh Duong Customs Department issued documents directing its subordinate units to urgently implement a number of important measures.

Specifically, the Department warned customs officials against being subjective, neglected, caught off guard in epidemic prevention and control; continue to enhance the communication and information to each civil servant, guests coming to customs offices so that people constantly heighten their sense of responsibility for implementing disease prevention measures; wear face masks in public places, outside the workplace, regularly maintain good hygiene of offices, wash hands, ensure personal hygiene. Customs officials that show symptoms of coughing or difficulty breathing, they shall not go to agencies but notify local governments and health agencies for guidance.

In addition, Binh Duong Customs Department directs its branches to proactively monitor the epidemic situation and emergency notices of Ministry of Health to supervise and capture timely information about customs officials showing symptoms of infection or having contact with people suspected of being infected with the Covid-19 for timely actions. According to Nguyen Phuoc Viet Dung, Director of Binh Duong Customs Department, the Department is reviewing and arranging civil servants who have come from Da Nang, Quang Nam and Quang Ngai with locations and time period according to the notice of Ministry of Health to work at home and fully comply with instructions of health authorities.

To actively assist businesses

Right from beginning of the epidemic, provincial customs have quickly come up with many scenarios and plans to assist and support businesses in overcoming difficulties. Many immediate supportive policies have been applied to help businesses lessen difficulties in production and business activities. Facing the complicated evolution of the Covid-19, the Department has drastically implemented measures from the early days with the desire to have effective solutions to support businesses to overcome this common problem.

Previously, in order to overcome and limit the impacts of the epidemic, the Department actively implemented many solutions to support import and export activities of enterprises. Accordingly, leaders of Binh Duong Customs Department directed its branches to regularly update the operation of enterprises in order to have timely support solutions as well as prevent trade frauds, smuggling, running away... In particular, some customs branches set up separate professional groups to advise and assist businesses on procedures and policies related to the export of cloth masks and medical protective equipment for Covid-19 prevention and control...

Provincial Customs Department has monitored and closely followed the operations of enterprises in the area to promptly assist businesses overcoming bad effects of the epidemic, in export of goods, and revenue collection. The budget revenue of Binh Duong Customs Department as of June 30 reached over VND 7,000 billion, down 8.11% over the same period last year, reaching 41% the estimate (VND 17,100 billion), reaching 40.06% target.

The Department directs its branches to ensure the epidemic prevention while simultaneously carrying out synchronous solutions to assist enterprises in customs procedures; solve difficulties of businesses, facilitate import and export activities of goods and services together with epidemic prevention and control in the new situation. With specific solutions and tasks, Binh Duong Customs Department has been assisting the business community in overcoming difficulties and impacts of the Covid-19, stabilizing production and business, stimulating import and export in the area.
