Binh Duong Customs spurs trade fraud control

Hanh said that production in Binh Duong focus mainly on outsourcing mode, accounting for about 80%. With the mode, import and export fraud often appears. To control trade fraud, Binh Duong Customs has constantly held training courses for its branches to reinforce inspections.

In addition, Binh Duong Customs’ inspection teams have discovered frauds related to material import while its division of risk management has actively learnt about businesses’ abnormal activities of import and export.

Thanks to inspections, Binh Duong Customs has found out many violations relating to import and export. Additionally, activities of the bureau of post-customs clearance goods management have been accelerated, resulting in collecting arrears tens of billions of VND for the State budget.

As of October, Binh Duong Customs fined over 600 violations with the total money of more than VND74bil. Binh Duong Customs, explained trade fraud cases are accompanied with document cheating to import commodities…

According to Duong Hong Hanh, tricks of violators are very various and complicated. Therefore, to prevent cases of trade fraud, it requires Binh Duong Customs to actively grasp activities and spur inspections.

In the coming time, Binh Duong Customs will use container scan to prevent and find out better violations of trade fraud in export and import at Binh Duong Customs.
