Since the beginning of the year, the number of enterprises coming for procedures at Binh Duong Customs reached 5,291, up 10.64%; the total number of enterprises having completed customs procedures at the unit reached over 1 million declarations, an increase of 17.09%; Total import-export turnover reached nearly $32 billion, up 11.55% over the same period in 2016.
According to Deputy Head of Binh Duong Customs Department Nguyen Truong Giang, to fulfill state budget collection, the unit has implemented many synchronous solutions to maintain stable revenue growth, combat losses. At the same time, Binh Duong Customs continues to implement Resolution 19, Resolution 35 of the Government to create favorable conditions for business community to carry out procedures.
Specifically, Binh Duong Customs Department has actively implemented and encouraged enterprises to carry out online customs procedures on the General Department of Customs’ website (46 online public services) and Binh Duong Customs Department’s website (27 online services) to reduce customs clearance time, travel time, costs of businesses. In addition, in 2017, the unit continued to inspect import and export goods through container scanning machines with rapid screening time, on average from 3 to 4 minutes per container, reducing from 5 to 10 times with manual testing time. Provincial Customs Department continued to do well the customs – businesses dialogue; to well perform the work of combating smuggling and trade frauds and combating State budget losses.
In order to complete the task of budget contribution VND11,200 billion and the target of VND12,500 billion in 2017, leaders of Binh Duong Customs Department instructed their subordinate units to strengthen their anti- budget losses activities such as: Continue to actively check against smuggling and trade frauds; enhance modernization in order to promote trade facilitation, control compliance, ensure revenue sources, shorten clearance time for enterprises.
