After 40 years of building and development, Binh Duong Electricity Company renamed for 5 times: Song Be electricity management and distribution, Song Be Electricity Department, Binh Duong Electricity and Binh Duong Electricity Company. Despite difficulties, the company’s cadres and employees always work with together to overcome obstacles, completing its entrusted tasks excellently. Over the past years, Binh Duong Electricity Company is considered as one of units leading in production and business of the Southern Electricity Company.
Promoting initiatives and technical renovation
Amid overload of electricity usage, Binh Duong Electricity Company built measures of offering electricity properly to ensure energy supply for local socio-economic development and local people life. As such, most of problems were minimized significantly while energy source was maintained stably.
As for the movement of emulation and technical renovation at the company from 2009-2014, as many as 60 initiatives were recognized by the unit level and 8 others by company level. The mentioned initiatives upheld their efficiency, contributing to save cost and improve labor capacity and bring benefits worth hundreds of millions of dong per year for the company.
Improving efficiency of electricity usage
Until now, the number of communes, ward and townships using electricity is at 91 out of 91, winning 100%; the number of households using electricity wins 665,425 out of 665,672, reaching 99.96%. This is a great effort of Binh Duong Electricity Company’s cadres and employees.
Besides, the company’s commercial electric output is at 29.291 billion of kWh during the past 5 years of 2009-2013 with the annual growth pace of 11.4%. In 2014, the company reached more than 8 billion of kWh, an increase of 11.67% from 2013 while electric output for industry rises 11.25% against the past year.
Aside from ensuring electric supply stably, quality of service and dissemination on electric thriftiness are paid much by Binh Duong Electricity Company. Accordingly, programs of “Earth Hour”, “Electric saving family”, “electric saving quarter” and more impact positively on awareness and action on using electric saving energy at schools, agencies and enterprises and residential areas.
Binh Duong Electricity Company saved 542 million of kWh in the period of 2009-2013, 221.8 million in 2014, reaching 148.6% of its yearly plan.
Apart from assuring growth and stability of quality of commercial electricity, goal of minimizing energy loss is considered as a key task of Binh Duong Electricity Company.
Over the past 5 years, the entire cadres and employees of Binh Duong Electricity Company make great efforts to minimize losses by many measures of technique and business. In the period of 2009-2013, energy loss decreased significantly. Specifically, 2013 plunged down 0.38% compared with 2009, 2014 cut 0.32% against 2013.

Over the past years, Binh Duong Electricity Company completes standardization and improvement of transactional offices. Besides, the company inaugurates a hot line of the telephone number of 19001102 and simultaneously launches the Directive No.949/CT-EVN and the Directive No.888/CT-EVN on improving efficiency of business work and quality of client service.
The Party and mass bodies’ organizations under Binh Duong Electricity Company have won encouraging results. The company’s party committee has reached the title of typical clean and strong party committee for many consecutive years while the company’s trade union has been recognized as the excellent strong trade union for many formative years. Moreover, the company’s youth union has been honored as the typical youth union in consecutive years.
With such achievements, Binh Duong Electricity Company has over the past years become one of units leading in the movement of business and production of the Southern Electricity Company.
