Despite difficulties in 2011, Binh Duong Electricity Company well realized the set targets and plans, contributing to fulfilling the local targets on 2011’s socio-economic development.
Making economization and overcoming difficulties
In 2011, Binh Duong Electricity Company reduced the rate of power used for distribution by 3.79%, 0.08% lower than the projection and down 0.16% compared to 2010.
The company also continued implementing the reduction of
power loss by many measures; installed protective equipment on power grid…,
contributing to minimizing breakdowns from power and maintained a stable power
source with high quality.

Apartedly, the Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) has made investment in the two projects of improving power supply for the rural region with a total investment capital of more than VND38bln and the project of enhancing the energy effectiveness of the rural region in Binh Duong with a total investment capital of more than VND54bln.
Binh Duong Electricity Company has also been provided capital for investing and put the over VND31bln project on general galvanometer eradication into use. Upon this, the whole province last year saved 79.5 million kWh of power or 1.56% of total commercial power output and 128.7% of the projection, contributing to reducing the average power price of the whole province to 1,198.47 per kWh…
Well fulfilling entrusted tasks
As of late 2011, the whole province had 100% of communes, wards and townships with the national power grid and 99.2% of total households in use of power. There were 97.76% of rural households in use of power.
Binh Duong Electricity Company also installed additional 19,245 galvanometers, bringing the total number of galvanometers in the province to 287,787.
The company’s total commercial power output reached 5.76 billion KWh of power, up 8.96% compared to 2010. In addition, the company realized 13 initiatives on technical innovation, contributing to saving production cost and raising labor productivity.
With achievements done last year, Binh Duong Electricity Company was awarded the emulation banners and the certificates of merit from the Government, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, provincial People’s Committee.
