Making efforts
After the country’s liberation in 1975, Song Be electricity distribution and management department (the predecessor of Binh Duong Electricity Company) under the Southern Electricity Company was renamed Song Be Electricity Department in Oct. 1979. On March 8, 1996, Song Be Electricity had 6 branches in Ben Cat, Thuan An, Tan Uyen, Phuoc Long, Binh Long and Dong Phu and 2 electric teams of Bu Dang and Loc Ninh with the total manpower of 312 people.
In 1997, implementing the National Assembly’s resolution, the former Song Be province (now Binh Duong province) was divided into 2 provinces including Binh Duong and Binh Phuoc. Accordingly, Binh Duong Electricity was established on April 1, 1997 after being separated from Song Be Electricity. After 1997, along with local development, Binh Duong Electricity made efforts to develop strongly in quantity and quality. In April, 2010, Binh Duong Electricity was renamed Binh Duong Electricity Company under the Southern Electricity Company with the total human resources of 946 people.
Until now, Binh Duong Electricity Company’s apparatus has included 10 branches such as Thu Dau Mot Electricity, Ben Cat Electricity, Thuan An Electricity, Di An Electricity, Tan Uyen Electricity, Phu Giao Electricity, Dau Tieng Electricity, Central Electricity, North Tan Uyen Electricity and Bau Bang Electricity; 14 units and departments; 1 electric work construction team and 1 electromechanics factory with the total laborers of 1,081.
Since the end of 2005, the company has launched application into quality management system in line with the ISO standard 9001:2000 at the company office and Di An Electricity. In 2009 and the latest time, the company was re-certified the standard ISO 9001:2008. At present, the company has expanded launching and granting certifications of the ISO 9001:2008 standard to Thu Dau Mot Electricity, Thuan An Electricity, Ben Cat Electricity and Tan Uyen Electricity.
In order to meet the rising demand on electricity, the company has over the past years invested about VND3,500bil in building electricity works, excluding capital for 500kV Tan Dinh station. In addition, the Southern Electricity Company has developed electric distribution system across the province with the volume of about 1,600km of middle-tension lines, 410km of low-tension lines, many transformer stations with the total volume of about 60 MVA to ensure capacity and expand scope of electric supply, meeting timely demand on the provincial socio-economic development.
Aside from ensuring electric supply, Binh Duong Electricity Company has spared no efforts to improve and renovate quality of service in a bid to cater better for clients. Since 2003 the company has launched client management information system.
Adequate supply of electricity with high quality
At present, electric grid at industrial parks has been invetsed along to roads right after clients complete registration of electric usage. The company always makes efforts to maintain electricity supply stably and constantly to meet enterprises and people’s production and usage.
Regarding plans, orientations in the coming time, Truong Chi Dung, director of Binh Duong Electricity Company said that with the motto of ensuring adequate supply of electricity with high quality in service for the local demand on socio-economic development and local residents’ usage, the company will focus on launching close inspection of technical management, electric grid operation and management, problem control, increasing reliability of electric supply, cooperating actively with the local department of Trade and Industry to set up and submit the provincial People’s Committee for approval of yearly and monthly electric supply plans and more.
Besides, the company will spur implementation of client service programs to grasp and solve timely clients’ problems by improving cadres and employees’ responsibility and awareness, narrowing time of solving problems for clients. Moreover, the company will pay more attention to improving client transaction offices, diversifying information channel for clients as well as maintaining service at the center for clients through the switchboard 19001102.
Truong Chi Dung shared that along with renovation of apparatus, Binh Duong Electricity Company will also focus on further improving management with the goal of “meeting clients’ demand with high quality and perfect service”.
Looking back a nearly 40 year way, despite difficulties and challenges, Binh Duong Electricity Company’s cadres and employees always complete the entrusted tasks excellently and the company becomes the unit leading in emulation movements of the Southern Electricity Company. It is believed that the done achievements will be a great encouragement for Binh Duong Electricity Company to continue to complete its goals and plans.
