On the afternoon of January 6, provincial People's Committee and Gangnam district of the Republic of Korea (RoK)’s Seoul city signed a strategic cooperation agreement via videoconference to promote international trade and cultural exchange activities.
The event was attended by Nguyen Van Loi, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly deputy delegation; Vo Van Minh, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee; Mai Hung Dung, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee; Wee Joon Soek, Deputy Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Ho Chi Minh city; representatives of Kocham Binh Duong, KOTRA Vietnam and leaders of departments, sectors and enterprises in the province. In Gangnam district, there were Soon Kyun Jung, the Chief of Gangnam; Nguyen Vu Tung, Ambassador of Vietnam to Korea, leader of Coex Group, and enterprises in Korea.
In the spirit of bilateral cooperation, the two sides agreed to cooperate in such fields as promoting production and business; trade, investment, culture and tourism; coordinating in organizing medical, cultural, commercial conferences, exhibitions and K-POP music festivals; jointly launching new projects to strengthen cooperation relationships, including conferences, seminars and online trading forums.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Loi said that this is a very important milestone as the foundation for strengthening friendly cooperation, mutual understanding, towards prosperity of the two localities He believed that in the coming time, Binh Duong province and Gangnam district will effectively implement the contents of the strategic cooperation deal to promote international trade and cultural exchange activities, contributing to socio-economic, cultural development as well as enhancing the status and dynamic image of Binh Duong province and Gangnam district to international friends and partners.
