Binh Duong has 8 more communes meeting new-style rural standards

On the morning of May 15, Mr. Bui Minh Thanh, Vice Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Council for Appraisal and Recognition of Communes Meeting Advanced New Rural Standards and Model New Rural Standards in the province, chaired the Council meeting.

Accordingly, in 2024, based on the assessment results of the departments and branches, there were 5 communes: Thanh An (Dau Tieng), Binh My, Dat Cuoc (North Tan Uyen), Tan Hiep, Vinh Hoa (Phu Giao) meet the requirements prescribed by the Provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 3498/QD-UBND dated December 3, 2024 and are eligible to propose for recognition as meeting model new rural construction standards.

The remaining 3 communes that have not met the criteria are Minh Thanh (Dau Tieng), An Thai and Tan Long (Phu Giao). The two communes of An Thai and Tan Long basically meet the requirements according to the regulations of the Provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 3498/QD-UBND, of which 1 criterion (criterion 1.3 of criterion No. 1 on planning) has not been met. Minh Thanh commune alone does not meet the conditions to be proposed for recognition of model new rural construction in the education sector.

Through analyzing the criteria, the Council voted to propose the Provincial People's Committee to recognize the communes that meet model new rural construction standards. As a result, 100% of the Council members agreed to propose the Provincial People's Committee to recognize the above 8 communes as meeting model new rural standards in 2024. However, for the 3 communes that still lack some criteria that are not in accordance with regulations, it is necessary to add commitments and try to overcome the criteria to complete them in the coming time; at the same time, synthesize the documents to submit to the Provincial People's Committee according to regulations.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Bui Minh Thanh highly appreciated the efforts and striving of the communes to complete the goal of building a model new rural commune according to the direction of the Provincial People's Committee. Mr. Bui Minh Thanh requested relevant departments, branches and People's Committees of districts to continue supporting communes to complete the criteria; to propagate, mobilize and mobilize the cooperation and contribution of people to maintain, consolidate and gradually improve the quality of the criteria in the coming time, in order to contribute to improving the material and spiritual life of the people.
