Before 1975, Binh Duong was called Thu Dau Mot, an exhausted land. Early 1976, Thu Dau Mot was merged with Binh Phuoc border province to become Song Be province. Till 1990, Song Be province created a breakthrough to build Song Than Industrial Park in a bid to spur industrialization and modernization development. And, till 1995, the province set up the management board of industrial parks to develop local infrastructure facilities synchronously.
Till Jan. 1, 1997, Song Be was separated into 2 provinces of Binh Duong and Binh Phuoc. Thenceforth, Binh Duong has had advantaged conditions to uphold its tradition and attract foreign investments. Now, Binh Duong province has showed its constant changes across localities from urban to rural areas. Many grandiose works have been built and developed marvelously.
Visiting Binh Duong industry-urban and service complex, every one will be surprised by its solid basis framework of over 4,000ha. Highways and green trees have been stretched immensely. Green trees and flowers along routes in the complex seem to bring romance for visitors.
