On the afternoon of June 27, Nguyen Van Danh, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee received a delegation of the European Business Association in Vietnam (Eurocharm) in research of the local investment climate, led by Erwin Debarea, Secretary General of Eurocharm at provincial Integrated Administration Center (photo).
At the reception, Mr. Danh said that over the years, Binh Duong has always been evaluated as one of Vietnam’s leading localities in terms of socio-economic development and FDI attraction. Besides, the province has always strived to improve the local investment climate, reform administrative procedures improve competitiveness, create an open and attractive investment climate for investors. Binh Duong has evaluated European enterprises as the local potential investment partners.
Over the past time, Binh Duong was proactive to promote cooperative relations with European partners by coordinating with relevant units to organize online conferences with localities, diplomatic missions and international organizations, partners from Europe such as the UK, Italy, the Netherlands, Denmark...Up to now, the province has absorbed 403 investment projects from 24 European countries and territories, with total registered capital of more than UU$6.8 billion. Mr. Erwin Debarea thanked Binh Duong province for supporting enterprises, including European ones, during the recent pandemic. He also expressed his delight when Binh Duong continued to be voted in the Top 7 typical smart cities in the world. Binh Duong is considered by EU partners as an attractive destination for "green industry".
Mr. Erwin Debarea wanted provincial leaders to continue helping European enterprises to expand their business activities, contributing to promoting the strategic partnership between Vietnam and Europe while supporting Eurocharm to organize a European investment promotion program in Binh Duong in the near future.
