Binh Duong needs to mobilize more than VND2.2 million billion of social investment capital

On June 5, Mr. Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, chaired the 98th session of the Provincial People's Committee. Also attending were members of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of departments, branches, and representatives of districts and cities.

The meeting approved 15 documents regarding issues, such as: report on the use of increased revenue and expenditure savings in 2024; draft decision approving the list of textbooks proposed by educational institutions for re-use from the 2025-2026 school year in the province; draft policy to adjust the level of electricity support for poor households, newly escaped poverty households and social policy households in the province from 61,333 VND/household/month to 64,281 VND/household/month according to the price regulated by the Ministry of Industry and Trade; consider approving the policy to allow increased capacity of material exploitation at a number of stone and sand mines to serve key national projects and works; draft Decision on reorganizing the Binh Duong Provincial Land Fund Development Center.

During the meeting, Mr. Vo Van Minh expressed his agreement with the topics discussed. He emphasized the importance of reviewing the available sources of stone and sand materials in the area to ensure a steady supply for key national transportation projects. He supported the policy of increasing exploitation capacity, provided that it remains within the limits of the approved extraction volume.

The Chairman of Provincial People's Committee emphasized that recently, the construction progress of key projects and construction works in the province and other localities has been affected partly due to the lack of some materials such as topsoil for leveling, stone and sand.
