Defining that construction planning is the guideline for the local development, Binh Duong has drawn up its overall plan on socio-economic development till 2020 and vision towards 2025. The plan has also been approved by the Prime Minister with the top goal of basically becoming an industrial locality and being a centrally-controlled municipalities by 2020. Binh Duong has also bravely invited foreign prestigious consulting units to help it set a master plan on urban development till 2030 and vision towards 2050
Over the past time, Binh Duong has focused on urban development and construction with the birth of many residential and urban projects, reshaping the local urban image. Among them, Binh Duong New City project invested by Becamex IDC is seen as the top work for the local development. The new city is changing day by day; is also a modern and civilized urban area as well as a gateway for trade exchanges with other localities.
Many corporations have so far made investment in the new city. They include Singaporean Mapletree Corporation’s hi-tech park, Eastern International University, Nguyen Khuyen specialized high school…Many other cultural projects have also been built and put into operation.
The birth of Binh Duong New City with a synchronous and modern infrastructure has created favorable conditions for the province to absorb investment projects. Realizing the potential of the new city, Japan’s Tokyu Group has coordinated with Becamex IDC to carry out the Tokyu Binh Duong Garden City project with a total investment capital of US$1.2bln.
So far, SORA Gardens I, the first part of the three-phase SORA Gardens project under the first project of the Tokyu Binh Duong Garden City and the food and shopping area project in front of provincial Integrated Administration Center have been put into operation, contributing to creating a highlight for Binh Duong New City.

Many urban works like ecological lake, wedding- convention center together with real estate projects IJC Aroma, Gold Town…have been formed up in a synchronous way on Binh Duong New City’s streets, namely Hung Vuong, Ly Thai To, Le Loi, Dong Khoi…
The new city has also got animated with the birth of many other projects like financial-banking center, hotels, hi-class supermarket… to serve around 125,000 residents and more than 400,000 immigrant laborers in the near future.
Only for a short time, Binh Duong New City has seen a rapid change with infrastructure and architecture that are very harmonious and friendly. This shows the pervasion of the new city, a project that Binh Duong’s Party, government and people have determined to build up to serve the local process of industrialization and modernization.
At a ceremony starting the construction of Binh Duong New City and inaugurating provincial Integrated Administration Center on February 2014, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said that this work was of great significance for Binh Duong’s sustainable and fast development process.
