Visiting Binh Duong New City on these days, riding on Pham Ngoc Thach road leading to Binh Duong New City, visitors will see perfection of urban infrastructure of Binh Duong province. On the 8-lane road, visitors can see the state-of-the-art roads such as My Phuoc-Tan Van express road, streets linking with Thuan An, Di An towns and gateway of Ho Chi Minh city as well as provinces and cities, new and wide streets such as Hung Vuong, Le Thai To, Le Loi, Dong Khoi and more link the new city with localities inside and outside of the province.
On these streets are works put into use. They include administration center, a 120ha eco-park, Lucky Square Conference and Convention Center, international standard sport center, real estate projects including IJC Aroma hi-grade apartment area for experts, trade street areas named Gold Town, Dong Do Dai Pho, Sunflower Villas and more.
In addition, other projects such as banking financial centers, trade offices, hotels, restaurants, supermarkets are under completion to serve for 125,000 residents and more than 400,000 workers.
After 4 years of construction, Binh Duong New City has changed every hour and every day and become a civilized and modern urban area, contributing to take Thu Dau Mot into the second classe urban area of today. Indeed, this is a very important significant work for the local process of development, affirming dynamic, creative spirit in conformity with the provincial industrialization and modernization. The city will become the hub of the central city prior to 2020.
Real vision shows rapid development and value of Binh Duong New City through investment projects from international corporations, hi-tech companies and education and training units such as Mapletree Singapore Corporation, Eastern International University, Ngo Thoi Nhiem high school, Nguyen Khuyen Gifted School, KinderWorld-Singapore international school and among others. Notably, Tokyu Corporation jointly develops Becamex Tokyu urban area with the total investment capital of US$1.2bil. Now, this project is about to be put into operation. Additionally, other projects relating to religion, metalphysics have been put into operation, helping the new city become more lively.
Breakthrough of Binh Duong city in the future
According to the Government Prime Minister’s decision, Binh Duong will become a central urban area prior to 2020. Accordingly, Binh Duong city will be a civilized, modern urban area, becoming one of urban areas under strong development of socio-economy of the Southern key economic zone with a strong widespread and impact on neighboring provinces and cities.
This is also the urban area leading in growth pace and rapid and strong economic structure transfer. Once being a central city, Binh Duong’s population will be at 2.5mil people by 2020, 3mil people by 2025, 80-83% of whom live in urban areas.
In order to be a central city, Binh Duong provincial administration focuses on building urban areas, of which Binh Duong New City will become hub of the central-run Binh Duong city. Located at the most important position of the central-run city in the future, Binh Duong New City will be a gateway connecting with provinces and cities in the Southern key economic zone. Therefore, the new city’s development plus synchronous and modern infrastructure facilities will facilitate the local administration’s investment appeal and cooperation with foreign partners, helping further spur industry, service and urban development.
