Becamex IJC, on May 25, held a seminar on “FDI capital strongly pours into Binh Duong and a golden period of enterprises”. The seminar received attention from economic sectors, especially enterprises in search of investment opportunities in the fields of trade and services in Binh Duong New City.

At the seminar, participants were provided the newest information about the development of Binh Duong, Binh Duong’s FDI attraction and demands regarding trade-services…Upon figures released by Becamex IJC at the seminar, Le Duy Ngoc, representative of a provider on products relating to workshops said: “Compared to industrial development speed, Binh Duong’s trade-services sectors possess many potentials. This is a great advantage for enterprises to develop trade-services sectors regarding building materials, interior decoration, entertainment, consumer commodities…in Binh Duong”.
In addition to the above mentioned potentials, participants were also interested in the amount of FDI capital flowing into Binh Duong during the recent period. Binh Duong last year absorbed more than US$2.6bln in FDI capita. Additional US$650mln in FDI capital, mainly from Japanese enterprises, continued flowing into the province in the first three months of 2013. All made participants firmly believe when selecting Binh Duong for investment in the field of providing services for foreign investors.
After the seminar, participants had a chance to visit Binh Duong New City. Many were very surprised at the rapid development of Binh Duong New City and said that the new city was creating many business opportunities in the business scopes of providing input materials for enterprises in industrial parks; providing services for enterprises’ production and export; dealing with demands regarding accommodation and entertainment for nearly 1mln laborers and more than 22,000 experts living and working in Binh Duong New City…
Opportunities for selection
The construction process of Binh Duong New City is being hastened to keep catch with the growth of the province that will be upgraded into one of the centrally-controlled cities by 2020. So far, many public works, infrastructure facilities together with many other key works in the new city have been completed and come into operation. The branches of Vietcombank, Viettinbank…have also been opened in the new city, bringing opportunities for the robust growth of many other fields.
In addition, the birth of international education system at all levels from Ngo Thoi Nhiem high and secondary school, Kinderworld international school, Eastern International University has opened a lot of services at pupils and students’ learning demand…Noticeably, the province’s Integrated Political and Administrative Center will be put into operation in early 2014. This will be a “golden” opportunity for enterprises in the fields of trade and services in Binh Duong New City.
Binh Duong New City will be the center of Binh Duong, a centrally-controlled city and an important gateway connecting Central Highlands, Mekong Delta region and Southeastern provinces in the future. Hence, it will open business opportunities for enterprises. Nguyen Tan Minh who specializes in providing household electronic appliances from HCM city said that this was the most favorable period for him to expand production and business in Binh Duong New City.
