From January 7 to 12, a delegation from Binh Duong province, led by Mr. Mai Hung Dung, the Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, made a work visit to China. Also present were Mr. Nguyen Van Loc, a Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, along with leaders from various departments, branches, the Thu Dau Mot City People's Committee, and Becamex IDC Corporation.
At the reception, Mr. Ton Dung, Deputy Governor of Anhui Province, introduced that Anhui ranks 11th in terms of economy in China and GDP in 2023 reached about 4.7 trillion yuan (equivalent to about 653.49 billion USD), per capita income was about 73,774 yuan (equivalent to about 10,241 USD).
In terms of industry, Anhui province is a major manufacturing center with key industries such as machinery, electronics and automobile manufacturing. Anhui is China's largest auto exporting province. Anhui Province is also famous for its chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturing industries, supplying a large amount of products to domestic and foreign markets.
Mr. Mai Hung Dung thanked the Anhui provincial government for the thoughtful and warm welcome. He said that Anhui province has strengths in industrial production, information technology and energy, and can support cooperation and call for Anhui investors to invest in Binh Duong's concentrated information technology park in the coming time.
During the session, Binh Duong province and Anhui province signed a Letter of Intent for cooperation, exchange, and friendship between the two regions. Accordingly, the two provinces will cooperate in the fields of economics, science, technology and innovation, trade, agriculture, logistics, education, culture, sports, tourism and other fields to promote common development based on the principles of equality and mutual benefit, within the legal framework of each country. The two localities also encourage and create conditions for businesses from each side to invest and cooperate with each other.
