Early March 4, Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee and Head of provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation chaired a meeting with leaders of Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT). The VNPT delegation was led by To Dung Thai, Chairman of the Group.

At the meeting, Mr. Thai shared that Binh Duong is one of VNPT’s top revenue-generating provinces, with annual earnings of around VND 1 trillion. He expressed VNPT’s desire for the province’s support in deploying a 5G network to serve local authorities, businesses and residents. Additionally, VNPT hopes to participate in infrastructure projects related to Binh Duong’s digital transformation, administrative reform and e-government system development.
Mr. Loi affirmed that Binh Duong is actively promoting digital transformation, advancing science and technology (sci-tech) and accelerating administrative reform. He expressed his hope that VNPT would soon implement the 5G network, aiming at establishing a robust and widespread telecommunications infrastructure system to support the province’s development.
Provincial Party Committee Secretary shared that Binh Duong is in the process of completing procedures to invest in a sci-tech industrial park aimed at attracting high-tech enterprises, with a priority on semiconductor manufacturing.
As VNPT has been assigned by the Government to establish a semiconductor chip production facility, he suggested the group to consider Binh Duong as a potential manufacturing site. Additionally, VNPT is encouraged to participate in the province’s sci-tech projects and technical infrastructure initiatives supporting digital transformation.
