To date, Binh Duong has had 1 first-class city (Thu Dau Mot city), 1 second-class city (Di An city), 3 third-class cities (Thuan An city, Tan Uyen city, Ben Cat town), 5 fifth-class cities (townships of Dau Tieng, Phuoc Vinh, Lai Uyen, Tan Thanh, Tan Binh).
The province constantly implemented urban rejuvenation, especially in the southern region. Huynh Pham Tuan Anh, Deputy Director of provincial Department of Construction said that over the past time, Binh Duong's urban development in the right direction has played an important role, promoting and maintaining the pace of the local production development. The province's key programs and plans were implemented in a synchronous way and organized by all-level authorities and sectors seriously on schedule, achieving positive results.
