Binh Duong provincial People's Committee has just decided to reorganize the Binh Duong Urban Development Planning Institute into Urban Development Planning Center under the Department of Construction.
Accordingly, the Urban Development Planning Center is a public non-business unit that self-finances recurrent expenditures. The Center has legal status, can use its own seal and open an account at the State Treasury to operate in accordance with the law. The Center has the functions of researching and advising the Director of the Department of Construction to review and implement synchronously all types of construction, urban and rural planning, scientific research and criticism on architectural and construction planning, provision of consulting services and technical support specialized in planning, architecture, and construction.
Binh Duong Urban Development Planning Institute was established in 2012, on the basis of merging two non-business units under the Department of Construction, namely the Center for Urban - Rural Development Planning and the Sector Project Management Board.
