Early April 1, provincial People's Committee held a press conference on informing the local socio-economic situation in the first quarter of 2022. Nguyen Van Danh, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee chaired the conference.
Amid the complicated developments of Covid-19 pandemic, the province continued well performing the "dual goals" of Covid-19 prevention-control and socio-economic development with many targets reaching and exceeding the growth scenario in the first quarter of 2022. Regarding solutions for digital transformation, arrangement of the apparatuses for agencies and units, establishment of wards and cities under the province, Binh Duong is upgrading 2 communes of An Dien and An Tay in Ben Cat town into An Dien and An Tay wards and upgrading Ben Cat town into Ben Cat city. The province is also upgrading Tan Uyen town into Tan Uyen city; An Son commune in Thuan An city into An Son ward; Thanh Tuyen commune in Dau Tieng district into Thanh Tuyen town of Dau Tieng district.
At the press conference, reporters of the press agencies mentioned the groups of issues on handling violations in construction; rechecking equipment and construction works in Covid-19 prevention and control; vaccination plan for children from 5 to 11; upgrading administrative reform at commune and ward levels in the northern districts of the province...
Mr.Danh suggested departments, sectors and units to recheck the above issues reflected by press agencies. He also applauded the efforts by press agencies in and out of the province in propaganda work, contributing to building up a more powerful Binh Duong.
