development…”. General Vo Nguyen Giao sent the words to Vietnam’s entrepreneurs on the
occasion of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Day (October 13) before he passed away. In
fact, Vietnam’s entrepreneurs in general and Binh Duong’s ones in particular
have also realized their responsibility to the nation, so they have made
efforts in production and business activities, greatly contributing to the
national construction and development cause… 
Outstanding entrepreneurs honored on the occasion of Vienam Entrepreneurs Day of 2012
Vietnam’s entrepreneurs have made great contributions to the national remarkable achievements on socio-economic development over the past time. In Binh Duong, entrepreneurs at home and abroad have contributed to helping reach the local target of industrialization, creating a breakthrough in all socio-economic aspects.
After 17-year re-establishment, Binh Duong has become one of Vietnam’s leading industrial localities with the annual GDP growth of 14.5%, 6.5 times higher than that of 1997. Noticeably, the province’s industrial production value has risen by 28%, accounting for 13% of the country’s industrial production value and more than 30 times higher than that of 1997…The above highlighted results have contributed by entrepreneurs who have managed to overcome difficulties and promote production and business activities…
Entrepreneurs in Binh Duong made great contributions to the local socio-economic development over the past nine months. Particularly, the province’s industrial production value during the period reached VND108.144trillion, up 12.8% compared to the corresponding period last year. Of the total, the foreign investment sector accounted for 67.2%, up 13.2% while the domestic investment sector accounted for 32.8%, up 12.1%.
Also during the period, the province’s export turnover secured US$9.841trillion, up 15.6% compared to the corresponding period last year. The foreign investment sector accounted for 81.2% of total, up 17.8%. This was seen as a remarkable result in the current difficult context.
Province-based trademarks, namely Becamex IDC, Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park, Trung Nguyen coffee, Dutch Lady, Hoa Sen steel, Minh Long I porcelain, Acecook, Tan Hiep Phat…, have still well dominated the domestic market and continued penetrating into the foreign market.
In other point of view, the constant development of Binh Duong’s entrepreneur community has come from the local favorable investment climate with technical infrastructure invested in a synchronous and modern way, open policies, provincial leaders’ flexibility…Conversely, their great contributions have become a motivation for Binh Duong to create breakthroughs in all aspects.
Provincial People’s Committee Chairman Le Thanh Cung said: “Binh Duong’s achievements over the past time were greatly contributed by the entrepreneur community. This is a very important force to promote the local socio-economic development. Provincial leaders have always honored and acknowledged entrepreneurs’ contributions to the local development while always going along with them…”.
