Binh Hoa was a poor agricultural land with many traces of war in the past. Today, this land creates strong changes.

Binh Hoa has begun changing when the Song Than 1,2 Industrial Parks (IP) was set up with a large number of workers rushing to the Thuan An Hoa base for working and living. Construction of the Viet Nam-Singapore 1 IP started in 1996 with a park of it belonging to Binh Hoa. This has seen as a great event for the development of the poor land.
Noticeably, the birth of the Dong An
1 IP has contributed to promoting the development of Binh Hoa. The IP has so
far absorbed 120 investment projects with the land tenancy ratio reaching 99.5%
of total. Along with its well-built traffic infrastructure, the IP has developed
a concentrated waste treatment plant with the capacity of 2,000cu.m per day.
There are also other investments in the IP, including bonded warehouse, banking
and transportation services… 
Binh Hoa has created strong changes
Also upon the above advantages, the IP has lured 81 FDI projects with a total investment capital of US$400mln and 39 domestic projects capitalized at VND2.5trillion. It has also lured 30,000 laborers. This is an important condition for Binh Hoa to develop trade-service sector, contributing to improving the livelihood of the local people.
Binh Hoa today
Binh Hoa now has 1,447 ha of natural land, including 10 ha for agricultural production. This shows that the ward’s economic structure has completedly shifted to industry-service.
Ngo Trong Nghia, chairman of Binh Hoa ward’s People’s Committee said that the local people’s income has mainly came from lodging business and many other services for workers. The section of National Highway 13 through Binh Hoa is very animated with tens of car agents with famous brands like Chervolet, Toyota, Mitsubishi, Huyndai…
Meanwhile, the main items of Canary Plaza trade center, which is part of The Canary complex project near Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Zone (VSIP 1), are now under construction. Once completed, it will become an ideal shopping and entertainment area for the local people.
The whole ward is now home to seven residential estates with well-built infrastructure, namely 3/2, Minh Tuan, Lam Vien, Areco…, providing good living places for the local people.
Binh Hoa today also gets animated with six markets invested in a synchoronous way together with night markets at workers’shopping demand. Mr.Nghia said that Binh Hoa has been industrialized for nearly 15 years and the locality will futher promote services and urbanization so that the livelihood of the local people will become more properous.
