As far as bird’s nest is concerned, people prefer to think of middle lands of Khanh Hoa, Binh Thuan, and Binh Dinh. Now, they should change what has been accepted long before. People in Dong Nam Bo region are getting rich by bird’s nesting.
We took a lot of time and effort to pursuade Mr. Nguyen Van Cuong, 33, residing at Village 7, Tan An, Thu Dau Mot Town to reveal his household business of bird’s nesting.
In modest manner, he retold his experience in middle lands of Vietnam when he saw people getting rich by bird’s nesting. After paying out VND 200 million, he could now earn big from a garden area of 100 square meters. Every month, by about 2kg of the bird’s nests collected, he could earn about VND 35-40 million per kilogram.
As for Vo Minh Tuan, 38, residing at Phu Tho, Thu Dau Mot Town, his two-storey bird’s nest building in 400 square meters in Ba Ria Vung Tau has now earn him 4 kilograms a month. After 3 years in Ba Ria Vung Tau, he now intended to build more in Tan An Commune and An Son Commune of Binh Duong Province.
4 years ago, Lam Duc Nguyen – founder of Binh Duong Bird’s Nest Center, spotted out such potentials of bird’s nests and was committed to the profession. Up to date, his center has helped to construct 200 bird’s nest buiding across the provinces including Binh Duong.
As for the center, 10 bird’s nest buildings could yield approximately 10 kilograms of bird’s nests a month which are worthy of VND 400-500 million.
