The remarkable socio-economic growth of the Southeastern region in recent years has continueed affirming its vital role as one of the country’s economic engines. Regarding perspectives and principles, localities in the region have identified the development of a connected traffic system as a breakthrough. Currently, Binh Duong is mobilizing resources to develop a modern and synchronous traffic infrastructure, including key roads, especially inter-regional arterial ones at the needs of modern trafffic development, expanding development space...
Currently, Binh Duong is expediting the construction of major arterial traffic projects, including belt roads 3, 4 of Ho Chi Minh city and the expansion of National Highway 13. Several key projects such as the Ho Chi Minh city – Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway have already commenced. Meanwhile, the pre-feasibility study for Metro Line 1 from Binh Duong New City to Suoi Tien in Ho Chi Minh city is being actively promoted for construction.To ensure that these projects are completed on schedule, provincial People’s Committee has directed relevant localities to accelerate site clearance and promptly hand over land to contractors. Efforts are also focused on resolving challenges related to land valuation, compensation, capital disbursement and construction progress…Provincial leaders frequently inspect project sites to monitor progress and urge contractors to speed up construction. Thanks to these efforts, key projects are progressing as planned.
The investment and completion of traffic infrastructure play a crucial role in driving economic development, particularly in industrialization, trade and services. Regional connectivity transportation projects are also expected to serve as key driving routes, not only reducing interregional travel time, but also opening doors for linking localities together.
