With the local breakthrough in investment attraction and industrial development, Binh Duong has resonated domestically and internationally. The breakthrough has helped Binh Duong rank second nationwide in FDI attraction, only after Ho Chi Minh city, with more than US$ 40 billion to date. It has also created conditions for the province to absorb nearly 65,000 enterprises operating in many fields.
The above breakthrough has helped creat jobs, attract laborers and increase income, thereby helping Binh Duong become the country’s locality with the highest per capita income in 2020. Successful investment attraction, industrial, trade - service development has pushed Binh Duong's economic structure to change in a positive direction, with the current proportion of industry accounting for about 67%, trade - services about 29%, agriculture about over 3%.
Binh Duong currently has a relatively developed industrial, trade and service economy. The province is now home to 29 industrial parks in operation and many industrial parks and compounds that are being expanded or built newly. Binh Duong's urban areas are also on the path of strong development. From only having one town, Binh Duong has so far had 4 cities, 1 town, with urban standards in localities in the province upgraded continuously. Recalling some of the province's achievements after a long path of development has aimed at seeing the effectiveness of the vision and breakthrough thought of provincial leaders over periods, along with the consensus and synergy of the people and business community for development goals.
Not being satisfied with things done, Binh Duong has once again ignited the will to "advance" with the Smart City project implemented in 2016. With the implementation of a smart, creative development strategy, Binh Duong's project has gradually won the ICF when it was successively honored as the Top 21, Top 7 and Top 1 Intelligent Communities by the ICF.
Not only coming to ICF, Binh Duong on its journey of deep integration with the world has also become official members of the World Technopolis Association, World Trade Centers Association, Asian Economic Forum...Binh Duong has also set up partnerships with many localities and large-scale corporations globally.
