In the 2015-2020 tenure, Bau Bang district Party Committee set a target: "Accelerating industrialization and modernization, constructing Bau Bang district to develop strongly, comprehensively, and soon became the industrial – urban center of Binh Duong province”. Efforts to overcome difficulties
Mr. Nguyen Huu Chi, Bau Bang District Party Secretary, said, on the district’s foundation day (Apr 1st 2014), Bau Bang had no master plan on socio-economic, defense - security; although the district was identified as an industrial district, 75% industrial lands of the district had no investors; trade - service sector had almost nothing…In such conditions, the Party, government and people of Bau Bang district have constantly strived to overcome difficulties and challenges, focused on leadership, implementation of political tasks in line with directions and objectives of the district Party Resolution. Thanks to the comprehensive leadership, practical and useful policies and measures, the district's economy has grown rapidly, people's life has been improved significantly.
Bau Bang today has many changes, wears a new shirt with the emergence of many companies and factories, e school system is being improved, roads are wide and clear…, especially, the highlight is Bau Bang Industrial Park.
Improving economic efficiency associated with social development
According Bau Bang District Party leaders, to achieve the above goal, the district has accelerated industrialization and modernization. Bau Bang has saved a clean land resource, invested and upgraded industrial material infrastructure in order to get ready for domestic and international projects. In fact, the district has attracted some large FDI projects.
Besides, the district has focused on developing rural infrastructure in order to create favorable conditions for people to convert production models, develop home-based businesses, help people to have a prosperous and happy life. Additionally, the district put more effort into building their hometown to develop strongly, comprehensively. The development objective of Bau Bang district has not been changed through the 2015-2020 tenure of the district Party. However, the district Party identified that the ultimate goal of development was to bring better life for the people, so the strong development should always be positioned in the comprehensiveness to meet the long-term growth’s requirements without affecting development resources in the future.
At the same time, constructing the district to soon become the industrial center of the province. Regarding this task, implementing policies and plans of the province, Bau Bang district in the future will be a locality with strong industrial development. In addition to the existing Bau Bang Industrial Park, in the future, the district will continue to develop industrial parks in the northern and eastern areas of the district to connect existing industrial zones with Binh Phuoc industrial zones and become an industrial chain.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Chi said, the implementation of the adjustment of Binh Duong province socio-economic development overall planning till 2020 was a condition for the district to develop correctly towards industry - service – agriculture. The district will also enhance the economic efficiency associated with social development on the basis of key investments, build up a synchronous infrastructure network for industrial development associated with urban and service growth.
