Building new rural areas starts at 17 pilot communes

Along with the country, Binh Duong has implemented many measures to complete a goal of reaching 100% new rural communes by 2020. The work will be launched at 17 pilot communes.

Binh Duong provincial rural development bureau head Trinh Van Ut, said implementing the national program of new rural building is to excel the 9th provincial party congress’ resolution and complete local common goals.

The province has set out 3 concrete goals of reaching 100% new rural communes by 2020 with an average income of VND36mil per capita per year.

However, there are difficulties for the goal. Most of communes are in shortage of planning on traffic, school, labor structure…

Initially, the province will implement the goal across 17 pilot communes. The pilot communes include 5 communes of An Long, Phuoc Sang, An Thai, An Linh and Tam Lap in Phu Giao district, 2 communes of Chanh Phu Hoa and Long Nguyen in Ben Cat, 6 communes of Tan My, Binh My, Thanh Hoi, Hoi Nghia, Tan Vinh Hiep and Phu Chanh in Tan Uyen, 4 communes of Minh Tan, Minh Thanh, Dinh An and Dinh Thanh in Dau Tieng.

The pilot localities will focus on launching land usage planning and socio-economic and environment infrastructure planning in new standards, residential area planning as well as standardization on health, education and water supply.

Besides, the localities must re-structure agriculture in application of hi-technology, develop concentrated-animal husbandry, strengthen the national goal programs of health, culture and education as well as build a solid system of socio-politics and social order…
