Businesses in industrial parks work effectively

In the first nine months of 2010, businesses in province-based industrial parks worked effectively with high revenue, contributing to helping them raise State budget payment, create stable jobs for hundreds of thousands of laborers…

 

Capital continues going up and…

 

Since early this year, industrial parks (IP) (except VSIP I and VSIP II) under provincial IPs Management Board have lured more projects granted investment license. In September, they absorbed 3 domestic investment projects with a total registered capital of more than VND118.5bln, bringing the total amount of the domestic investment capital herein in the first nine months of this year to VND938bln or 183.6% of this year’s plan. So far, they have drawn 335 domestic investment projects with a total registered capital of VND14.151bln.

Also in September, these IPs lured nearly US$17mln in FDI with 3 new FDI projects and 2 extra-ones, lifting the total amount of FDI capital in the first nine months of this year herein up nearly US$301mln or 75.4% of this year’s plan. The result has brought the total amount of FDI capital flowing into these IPs so far to 745 with a total registered capital of more than US$4.8bln…

 

…State budget contribution up

 

Noticeably, the capital disbursement of businesses in the industrial parks (IPs) under provincial IPs Management Board has got good result. More than US$376mln in FDI was disbursed in the past nine months or 94% of this year’s plan. Of these, the foreign investment sector disbursed US$356.5mln, up 23% compared to the corresponding period last year while the domestic investment sector implemented US$19,7mln, up 26% over the corresponding period last year.

 

These Ips have so far absorbed 726 businesses in operation, including 487 FDI businesses and 239 domestic ones. In the first nine months of this year, they worked effectively with total revenue reaching more than US$3.4bln, up 23% against last year’s same period or 89% of this year’s year; export turnover gaining more than US$1.5bln, up 22% against last year’s same period or 84% of this year’s plan; import value more than US$1.96bln, up 18% against last year’s same period or 89% of this year’s plan… Also during the time, they paid more than US$86mln for State budget, up 22% over the same period last year or 90% of this year’s plan. Of the total figure, nearly US$72mln was contributed by the foreign investment sector while the domestic investment sector more than US$14.1mln

 

Such these part, businesses in the IPs have contributed to generating stable jobs for a large number of laborers in and out of the province. In the first nine months of this year, industrials parks absorbed additional 15,133 laborers, bringing the total number of laborers herein to 205,454, up 7.3% against last year’s same period. So far, there have been 201,787 laborers with labor deals, up 17.8% compared to last year’s same period or 98.4% of total.

 

Apartedly, there were additional 44 businesses in the IPs setting up trade union locals with 29,506 trade unionists, up 57% against last year’s same period, lifting the total number of businesses with trade union locals up 481 with 125,257 trade unionists.
