Spending much money for dream
In early Nov. 2013, Vuong Sieu Tin, director of Phuoc Du Long ceramics company shared information on success of the 120 cubic meter ceramics kiln on his facebook. This is considered as the biggest ceramics kiln in both Vietnam and Asia. On his facebook, Tin offered many sources of information and photos of the first ceramics batches burn from the 120m3 ceramics kiln.
Little knows that he had to pay a very expensive price to gain the success. All are for dream of building a huge ceramics kiln to make up large products with preponderant quality compared with the world’s products. Thanks to assistance from Long Truong ceramics company, Le Thanh Cong started building the first 2 120m3 ceramics kilns in 2005 with the total value of nearly VND5bil.
Till 2007, Vuong Sieu Tin asked Cong to construct one more 120m3 kiln. In this time, Le Thanh Cong’s kiln used gas burning technology but he failed. Vuong Sieu Tin said “At that time, hearing about building the 120m3 kiln from Cong, I immediately spent much capital to construct the kiln, despite difficulties in capital. I at that time thought that if succeeded, we could offer many orders for clients”.
Despite failure, Vuong Sieu Tin determined to improve errors. Till 2013, after numerous tests and a huge expenditure of money and labor, the 120m3 kiln’s capacity at Phuoc Du Long ceramics company has been gone into good operation. Now, Tin shared “If without patience, we can not enjoy today success”.
Bigger ambition
After Phuoc Du Long ceramics company’s success, now many ceramics companies in Binh Duong have started investing in the 120m3 kiln model.
Most recently, Kim Phat ceramics company spent about VND10bil to construct a 120m3 kiln in early 2013. The company director Nguyen Liem Chanh said that investing tens billions of dong in the 120m3 kiln in this difficult time is like a game. However, we still determine to test and fortunately we enjoy success in the first batch in Dec. 2013”.
According to Vuong Sieu Tin, each 120m3 kiln burns about 5-6 ceramics batches, so if enjoying stable orders, ceramics companies can save production expense and lower products’ price. Notably, products burnt from this kind of kiln will offer beautiful finished products with high quality. In addition, the kiln is very friendly with environment.
“This will be a big advantage of Binh Duong ceramics in improving competitive edge and reaching a new height of producing and exporting ceramics”, Vuong Sieu Tin added.
