Dinh Hiep commune in Dau Tieng district has reached many obvious changes after nearly 10 years of implementing the local new-style rural construction program. Noticeably, the commune has so far built up a synchronous infrastructure system together with many effective models and the lives of locals improved.
Dinh Hiep commune now has more than 6,144 hectares of natural land and 2,279 households with 7,801 people. Under the advanced new-style rural construction program, along with the high determination by the entire political system and the efforts by people, the image of the commune has changed quickly. In 2014, the commune was recognized as a new-style rural commune and so far, it has reached criteria of the advanced new-style rural construction program.

A rural road in the commune is upgraded
One of considerable results done by the commune in the news-style rural construction program is the birth of effective models. With a model of bamboo sprouts, Nguyen Van Dinh in Dang Huong hamlet can secure the monthly income of VND40million. Or, the cooperative group model of Nguyen Thi Anh Dao in Dinh Tho hamlet now generates jobs for 75 laborers with the monthly income of more than VND5million per person…
Nguyen Trong Nghia, Vice-Chaimrnan of provincial People’s Committee said that under the new-style rural construction program, many households in the commune have changed their thought in cultivation and animal husbandry. Till now, the whole commune has formed up groups of products developed in each region with a large scale.
Along with economic changes, the commune’s rural infrastructure system has step by step reached synchronous, modern investment. There are now more than 60% and 100% of hamlet-level and inter-communal roads covered by asphalt, respectively; 5 roads of 18.2 km equipped with public lighting system. Since 2010, the local people have planted flowers on roads in residential areas of the commune with 10 km; made installation of 235 lights; contributed money, land, vegetables and crops to making rural roads with a total value of more than VND11billion…
Noticeably, commune-based Doan Van Tien, Tran Van Luu rubber plantations and firms give vocational training and offer jobs to more than 3,500 laborers every year. The rate of laborers trained in the commune is now more than 80%. The average income per capita of the local people is about VND63million per year, up VND29.2million compared to 2014.
