On March 16, Bel Vietnam, a subsidiary of the French cheese maker Bel group, inaugurated its second cheese plant at TDM city-based Song Than 3 industrial park. Attending the event were Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee together with leaders of sectors, departments in the province.

The plant is capable of producing 10,000 tons of cheese products per year with a total investment capital of 12.9 million EUR. Bel Vietnam said it wants to bring nutritious dairy products for Vietnamese consumers, with a long-term strategy of becoming a supply centre for the entire Southeast Asian market.
Speaking at the factory’s inauguration ceremony, Mr.Liem said the event marks a new development of the company in line with the local policy on investment attraction. The province pledges to create the best conditions for Bel Vietnam to operate effectively.
