After two years of implementing the resolutions, plans and conclusions of the provincial Party Committee, the local Party Committee on existing urban rejuvenation in association with new urban construction for the 2016-2020 period, TDM city has had a lot of obvious changes.
New urban image
Over the past two years, TDM city’s Party, government and people made efforts in surmounting difficulties, challenges to reach major results in all socio-economic fields. Noticeably, the city’s traffic, water, power, lighting system reaped considerable advances.

Many main streets, namely Tran Ngoc Len, Le Chi Dan, Pham Ngu Lao…, were upgraded. There were also 95.8% of alleys covered by concrete or asphalt, making the local urban image more and more spacious and beautiful.
In addition, the city’s public traffic system was upgraded. The city’s waterway transport system via Ba Lua port was also tapped effectively. Along with this, the city regularly upgraded the local public lighting system, looked after green trees, ornamental flowers…The city also upgraded 3 canals, namely Thu Ngu, Thay Nang and Bung Cai together with 34 others, aiming to preventing flooding during the rainy season…All contributed to bringing a new image to the city.
Sustainable urban development promoted
Together with results in the implementation of the provincial Party Committee, the local Party Committee on existing urban rejuvenation in association with new urban construction for the 2016-2020 period, TDM city has faced certain shortcomings for change.
For sustainable development, the city will further strive to carry out targets, plans on urban rejuvenation in association with implementing the local campaign of civilized urban and cultural lifestyle construction. The city will be proactive to call for projects on urban development; hasten the progress of setting up, adjusting the detailed plans of subdivision at the scale of 1/ 2,000 of wards; carry out projects on upgrading streets and increasing the rate of streets covered by concrete under the management of wards…
The city will also continue coordinating with Binh Duong Electricity Company to tidy up the bundles of electrical and telecom wires. Besides, the city will increase green spaces, creating a better living environment for locals, building up a synchronous infrastructure system, contributing to building up a civilized and modern city…
