Demand rising
At present, there are many civil works under construction at urban and residential areas. This shows that civil construction field is being recovered. In Thu Dau Mot city alone, the municipal Urban Management Department in the first 9 months of this year considered nearly 2,090 dossiers of construction license with the area of more than 381,000sqm, up over 200 files compared with the same period last year.
Based on information offered by construction companies in this city, the number of clients asking for building houses increased highly compared to the same period last year. Dat Thu Consultancy-Construction Co.Ltd.’s leader said that since the start of this year the company builds more than 10 housing works. These works are mainly constructed at Hiep Thanh and Phu Hoa 1 residential areas and more.
According to many civil constructors, local residents’ demand on civil building rises sharply against the last year. In order to complete civil construction works as expected, the constructors must mobilize more workers.
Presently, many families are ready to spend much money in building new houses. Lich in Phu Loi ward said “May family decides to build a new house in this year with many various reasons such as strong reduction of deposit interest rates, risks of investment in real estate, gold, foreign currency and more”.
At new urban areas, construction of civil works is taking place lively, especially at the perfectly built residential areas such as Hiep Thanh III, Tiamo Home and so on.
Close management needed
Demand on housing construction is increasing rapidly while building fee remains stable. Accordingly, package construction price is about VND4-5mil per square meter and labor price is at about VND300,000 per day. However, according to owners of building material shops, price of building materials is jumping, so building fee can increase slightly.
Rep of Huu Chuong building material store on Huynh Van Luy road in Thu Dau Mot city said that key items of cement, brick, steel start increasing from 3% to 5%. From now till the end of this year, price of some building materials will skyrocket, owing to the rising demand on civil construction.
According to functional agencies, in order to control civil construction, the provincial administration should set out regulations and manage closely these works. Besides, constructors must have legal status when involving in construction field. This is a foundation to take charge of quality of works as well as ensure legitimate rights and interests of people.
Close management of construction operation will ward off illegal building and well manage urban architecture as well as increase budget collection and more.
