Binh Duong is one of the country’s localities with high industrial growth. The province’s industrial production value between 2006 and 2010 increased by 19.9% per year. Along with industrial development, the province now faces environmental pollution.

Provincial DoIT’s Industrial Promotion Center has also made a plan on cleaner production in the last six months of 2012, including opening 2 classes on dissemination of information about cleaner production in the industrial sector for around 100 enterprises; designing and delivering 5,000 propaganda posters on cleaner production for enterprises; building the models of cleaner production among enterprises…
Enterprises’ role
Under the instruction of provincial People’s Committee, province-based enterprises must take measures on cleaner production and use energy economically and effectively.
This move aims to contributing to achieving the local targets by 2012 that province-based industrial production establishments will save 5%-8% of consumption on energy, materials, fuel on each product unit; take part in all seminars and training courses on cleaner production; improve production technologies…
Regarding cleaner production, Le Minh Hoang, Director of M&C Brick-Tile Co. said that his company has learnt to improve production technologies towards sustainable development in association with environmental protection.
Yawa Juri, General Director of Sunsteel Co. said: “We have always tried to equip the best modern production lines in production as well as in waste treatment to protect the environment.
Whilst, Ha Huy Khanh, CEO of Binh Duong FICO Co. and Hoang Van Loc of Binh Duong Minerals and Construction Joint Stock Co. said that they have attached special importance to environmental protection in production and trading by substantial activities, including growing green trees, upgrading roads…
Possibly speaking, enterprises play a decisive role in the process of realizing cleaner production. With their substantial activities, it is believed that the “dream” of cleaner production in Binh Duong will come true in the near future.
