Binh Duong is located in the center of the Southern Key Economic Zone. However, the province’s transport infrastructure system, especially traffic connecting with localities has not been invested in line with the local development potential yet. For the country’s leading economic sector further developing, thereby increasing the competitiveness of the economy, the province has determined that the traffic field plays a very important role, opening up the "source circuit" for development at the needs of investors.
In 2022, there are new expectations for the business community as the province is striving to motivate key traffic infrastructure projects. Specifically, after April 30, National Highway 13 will open 2 more lanes with 12m-18m wide. The surface is 39.5m-40.5m wide with 8 lanes. In the coming time, National Highway 13 will also build an overpass at the Huu Nghi and Binh Hoa intersections, with a scale of 880m long and 17m wide; construct an overpass at the Hoa Lan intersection with 646m long and 17m wide; expand Tan Phu bridge from Ho Chi Minh city to Thu Dau Mot city, bringing its total width to 40.5m; build a 3-lane box culvert at Suoi Giua toll station.
Investing in key traffic infrastructure projects, Binh Duong always needs huge capital for implementation. Therefore, mobilizing capital outside the State budget is always considered as a key task by the locality and this mobilization is reaching positive results. Upholding results done in mobilizing non-budget capital, Binh Duong will promote the implementation of the local tunnel and overpass projects in order to set up a synchronous traffic system, creating an open urban landscape and prevent congestion at hot spots.
According to the local development plan, from 2022, Binh Duong will become a great construction site with a series of large and small traffic infrastructure projects, creating the momentum for the vigorous development of the coming period. In the face of challenges, this beginning will create more expectations and confidence in the local breakthrough development in the new period. It is believed that Binh Duong has enough potential and determination to maintain its important role in the overall development of the Southern Key Economic Zone.
