Defining that collective economy plays a vital role in the local economic development, Bau Bang district has attached special importance to fostering this field and step by step associated it with industrial development towards hi-tech models.
Making strong investment in effective models
Bau Bang district is home to 5 cooperatives with 37 members and total initial investment of VND21.7billion in the fields of agriculture, construction and transport service. There are also 10 cooperative groups with 106 members and total initial investment of more than VND8billion in the fields of animal husbandry, cultivation and production.

Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of Bau Bang district’s Party Committee, Head of the district’s Steering Board of Collective Economy said that implementing a task of renewing and developing collective economy under the Resolution of the 5th plenum of the 11th Party Central Committee and the Resolution of the local Party congress, the district has promoted collective economic models, especially effective ones. In 2016 alone, the district-based cooperatives, cooperative groups reached more than VND25.3billion in total revenue.
Over the past time, the district also organized visits to effective models in order to learn experience from them and created favorable conditions for cooperatives, cooperative groups to get access to preferential policies of the State and other organizations for better development.
Nguyen Quang Thanh, Secretary of Tru Van Tho communal Party Committee said that thanks to the attention and instruction of the district, collective economic models have loomed large across the commune. The commune has also disseminated them among mass organizations, members of the local Steering Board and set solutions to effectively maintain collective economic development.
Diversified collective economic models
In the face of difficulties, the district has put forward a policy on collective economic development in association with industrial-urban and service development orientation, in which cooperatives on construction, transport and other services will be promoted. The district will also foster hi-tech agricultural cooperatives and cooperative groups in association with processing and consumption.
According to Mr.Liem, the district has to date absorbed 455 domestic and foreign enterprises with a total of more than 19,000 laborers. Hence, the district’s demand for transport is very great. The district is bracing up the establishment of transport cooperatives, facilitating laborers’ traveling. In addition, the district will promote hi-tech agricultural cooperatives and cooperative groups, especially in communes of Hung Hoa, Tan Hung…
To achieve the above-mentioned target, the district will strengthen investment attraction into hi-tech industries, especially processing industry to create the way out for products as well as the premise for collective economic development.
