Over the past years, the province’s collective economic sector well expressed its role in new rural construction. The sector now continues receiving interest from the province for development in the right direction with higher efficiency.
Development in right direction
Currently, the whole province is home to 223 cooperatives with 56,539 members and total chartered capital of more than VND586 billion. These cooperatives mainly operate in the fields of agriculture, home industry, transport, trade-services…The average profit of a cooperative is estimated at VND360million a year; the average income of members is VND60million per year per person.

There are also 217 cooperative groups with 2,278 members and total capital of VND48.6billion. They have actively applied sci-tech advancements in production, made the shift of plant and animal structure…, contributing to increasing members’ incomes.
Possibly speaking, fostering collective economic models is one of effective solutions to mobilize an abundant workforce of the rural region, generate jobs and increase people’s incomes, thereby contributing to promoting the process of new rural construction. According to experts, if being developed in the right direction, collective economy will be a basic factor to improve farmers’ thoughts and production knowledge for high economic efficiency in agriculture and rural development, impulsing the process of new rural construction.
According to Nguyen Thanh Tung, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Hung Hoa commune in Bau Bang district, the district defined that new rural construction must associate with accelerating collective economic development, in which the cooperative model is a vital and decisive strategy for the completion of criteria of the new rural construction program. At present, the commune has 1 cooperative and 2 cooperative groups. All work very effectively, contributing to speeding up the local collective economy…
Operational efficiency enhanced
Le Thanh Son, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial Cooperative Alliance said that under the Politburo’s Conclusion No.56, province-based cooperatives have been proactive to improve difficulties and managed to take fruits in production-business. Many cooperatives have made mutual coherence for higher economic efficiency; been in the vanguard of the new rural construction movement; carried out agricultural development services towards goods production, facilitating members’ production and business, contributing to reshaping the rural image of the province.
In the coming time, the province will further improve the operational efficiency of collective economy; foster collective economy in association with the local process of rural construction program and socio-economic development programs; promote cooperative models towards industrialization, modernization and make the shift of economic structure under the local common orientations; replicate outstanding cooperative models under the Cooperative Law; strengthen application of sci-tech advancements, be resolute to handle cooperatives with prolonged failure…
Provincial Cooperative Alliance has also put forward solutions in the coming time, including concretizing the Party’s policies, issuing support policies on cooperative economic development for the period of 2016-2020…Additionally, provincial Cooperative Alliance will further brace up economic sectors to improve their operational methods and expand their business scopes; mobilize cooperatives to bravely get loans in order to innovate equipment and machines, expand production-business activities…
