Over the past time, Dau Tieng district’s collective economy reached positive changes, significantly contributing to the local economic development.
Effectiveness
Dau Tieng district is now home to 16 cooperative groups on animal husbandry, cultivation and services with 148 members and nearly VND5billion in chaptered capital. Most of them have worked very effectively, generating jobs with high incomes for laborers. In addition, the district has a total of 8 cooperatives, 4 of which have been reorganized under the Law on Cooperative 2012…

Nguyen Phuong Linh, Permanent Vice-Secretary of the district’s Party Committee cum Head of the district’s Steering Board of Collective Economy said that the birth of cooperative groups and cooperatives herein has come from people’s real demand. Many cooperative groups have worked very effectively, which will help them develop into cooperatives. This will also make great contributions to the local socio-economic development.
Mai Thanh Long, Director of Thanh Tuyen People’s Credit Fund said that this is the most effective cooperative model in the district. The fund now has a total of 3,402 members. In the first half of 2017, it reached more than VND127billion in total outstanding loan, more than VND769million in pre-tax profit and paid more than VND100million for State budget. Mr.Long added that the operation of the fund brought high socio-economic efficiency at people’s demand for loan for production and business, contributing to the local socio-economic development .
Lasting development
According to Le Huu Dung, Head of Dau Tieng district’s Division of Economics, agricultural production plays a major role in economic structure of the district, so collective economic development herein also depends on the strong point.
He also said that Minh Hoa citrus fruit trees cooperative and Dinh Hiep rubber latex purchasing cooperative have just been set up in early this year. With their scale and feasibility, it is sure that the two cooperatives will work effectively. But, they need to deliberate their business strategies while paying attention to promoting their products in order to obtain high economic efficiency…
Whilst, Pham Trung Thao, Chairman of Dau Tieng district’s Farmers’ Association said that the district has so far had a variety of effective cooperative groups, including those of breeding mother cows in Dinh Thanh commune’s Nui Dat hamlet, raising pigeons in Dinh An commune…Their products now get good consumption and create stable incomes for laborers. Hence, the district needs to mobilize them to upgrade into cooperatives in order to have better development policies…
