Ho Van Binh, Deputy Director of provincial Department of Industry and Trade, said that in commerce sector, the quality of goods and products supplied to the people continued to be improved with the increase and development of convenience stores and high-end shopping malls. Currently, Binh Duong has 106 conventional markets, 3 shopping centers, 11 supermarkets, a system of mini-supermarkets, convenience stores etc. contributing to the formation of a modern and advanced business environment. Binh Duong also expects to increase the proportion of services to create a driving force for industrial development.

According to Dr. Tran Du Lich, Binh Duong needs to enhance investment in infrastructure, attract high-quality trade - services to become a civilized and modern city, a high-quality service area for the whole region. In order to realize the above goal, Binh Duong needs to focus on the overall urban planning towards modernity and convenience with a Metro line connecting with Ho Chi Minh City; at the same time, strongly attracts investment in trade and information technology.
