Binh Duong's decision to build an industrial - service - urban complex as a pilot model for integrated development, including: urban areas, industrial zones, high-quality commercial and service areas, residential areas, and resettlement zones for people, is a breakthrough idea to change completely the way of attracting and calling for investment of Binh Duong, including the agreement about management, calling for investment as well as building technical infrastructure and synchronous trading-service infrastructure. Thanks to the parallel development of industry and services, Bau Bang district has made new progress compared to five years ago. In phase 2, along with industrial infrastructure, KSB also invests in trade and service infrastructure to serve the demands for accommodation, shopping and entertainment of workers in industrial parks. Specifically, the project will provide support services, such as finance, transportation services, healthcare, education, culture - entertainment, recruitment and training of labor for businesses, striving for the goal of a civilized urban area, providing a good living environment for residents.
In order to create favorable conditions for people and businesses, investment and trade promotion has been synchronously implemented by the provincial industry and trade branch, contributing practical support to production business activities of enterprises. E-commerce infrastructure, digital transformation is prioritized by the province. Cooperation programs, goods supply and demand connecting programs between Binh Duong and other localities after many years have strongly spread, contributing to creating a diversified supply of high-quality products for consumers.
To bring on a new look
Up to now, with the role of a connective urban center, Binh Duong New City has become a city of science, education, finance and high-quality services. The New City has been a destination for international trade activities, creating a driving force for investment attraction and development of surrounding industrial zones.
Binh Duong New City World Trade Center has been put into operation and successfully hosted dozens of international conferences. In Binh Duong New City, high-class residential areas built by leading partners in the world meet the increasing demand of residents as well as investors, experts... Cross-border e-commerce, financial centers, banking sectors, and many other subdivisions have been formed and developed, bringing a new look and convenience to people and businesses.
In order to continue creating a breakthrough to boost the development of the trade and service sector in smart city construction, the province began the construction of a 900-ha scientific technological industrial park invested by Becamex IDC. This is one of key projects of the Smart City project. This special industrial park will have high-level institutes and schools, international-standard hospitals to serve local folks as well as domestic and foreign workers in the province. The accompanying services and utilities will be developed synchronously and harmoniously between the scientific technological industrial park and existing residential areas.
Up to now, at the complex, the school system at all levels has reached international standards, such as: Eastern International University, Vietnam-Germany University etc. offer education programs 100% in English, focus on key industries serving the industrial development of the province, such as: information technology, mechatronics, electricity - electronics..., laying the foundation for the development of new production tools, improving and upgrading the industrial foundation through research and development projects. All are to meet the demands for recreation, learning and development of people in the province and neighboring provinces, cities.
In order to strongly attract investors, Binh Duong focuses on developing logistics service infrastructure, contributing to the circulation and distribution of domestic goods and import export. Up to now, the province has 15 logistics centers, and strives by 2025 to have some large centers reaching the development level on e-commerce platform. Binh Duong has planned for 10 river ports and currently has 4 ports in operation for freight transport and tourism, including Binh Duong general port, Thanh Phuoc port, Ba Lua port and An Son port.
