Companies actively prevent epidemic outbreak, guarantee safe production

The resurgence of the Covid-19 has changed all production and business plans that each company had planned in advance. At present, the proactive social distancing and prevention of disease spreading are being strictly carried out by businesses in the province to ensure the highest safety.

Efforts to sustain production

According to Bui Minh Tri, Head of Management Board of provincial industrial parks, in the current time, companies must prevent and control epidemic outbreak, guarantee health and safety for employees, and actively organize industrial production to adapt to the new situation. Most enterprises in industrial zones implement regularly and seriously disease prevention control measures, plan the most optimal options if there is F0 and F1 cases, promote the role of Covid-19 Safety Teams in health checking, daily monitoring... Management Board of provincial industrial parks has utilized IT application in propagating and updating epidemic situation through a "Covid-19 Safety Map" software of the province.

Due to extremely complicated developments of this epidemic wave, provincial businesses have done a good job of disease prevention control, protecting the health and safety of employees, maintaining production and business. The Covid-19 has caused great fluctuations, but also an opportunity for businesses who know how to seize opportunities and overcome challenges. Amidst difficulties and challenges, the business community has also responded flexibly, changed their business model, strongly applied digital technology, reduced costs. Many firms not only well adapt to survive but also show the will to rise up, ready to restructure their business and markets, welcome opportunities and follow new development goals.

Although trade with many countries is difficult, many enterprises in industrial parks have carried out introduction and promotion of online products and  received large numbers of orders. Currently, many businesses receive POS for until the third quarter of 2021, even for the whole year and 2022. Some main export markets, such as: USA, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong etc. are gradually recovering. In the coming time, when free trade agreements are implemented in a more comprehensive and effective way, it will contribute to stimulate the export of key sectors, such as textiles, footwear.

According to Mai Ba Tien, Director of provincial Department of Planning and Investment, in order to well implement the "dual goal", businesses need the support of all government levels, branches and localities in anti-epidemic work and overcome difficulties in production and business. The province determines to make efforts into two "fronts", both fight against epidemic and guarantee economic growth. In addition to drastic anti-epidemic solutions, the province has also had timely support solutions, such as assisting businesses to access preferential loans to maintain production and business activities.

To activate all solutions

Binh Duong currently has 29 industrial parks, nearly 3,000 projects operating with 485,671 workers. The complicated epidemic situation is the biggest worry of businesses. Therefore, anti-epidemic work at factories is elevated to the highest level, even halting some production lines. According to Vuong Van Nghia, Deputy General Director of Polytex Far Eastern Vietnam Company in Bau Bang Industrial Park, the epidemic development is complicated, to ensure physical distancing, the factory reduces some exports, focuses resources on essential goods for the domestic market. Currently, the factory focuses on production of face masks to maintain production, while providing free face masks for their workers.

Lu Quang Thu, Chairman of Scancom Vietnam Company (Song Than Industrial Park), also said that currently, anti-epidemic work at the company is brought to the highest level, even suspending some production lines. "We gathered a lot of people to serve the lines, now it's completely reduced. For example, one group works until noon and then changes to another group of workers, employees in the office also go to workplace alternately to avoid crowded office", he added.

Many companies also implement the maximum reduction of worker number and thorough control of people in and out factories. Workers at many enterprises deliberately stay at their company for work, such as Earth Corporation Vietnam Company (South Tan Uyen Industrial Park, Tan Uyen town), Foster Electronics Company (VSIP 2)...
